Just because the temperature is dropping, and your bikini has been replaced by a wool peacoat, it doesn’t mean you have to wait until next summer to evoke your California Dreamin!  The refreshing aroma of Kai beauty products is an instant fix for all beach babes who are mourning those endless summer days at the beach.

Kai’s first product, which remains their most popular, is the Kai Perfume Oil, which is an intoxicating blend of essential oils, conveniently packaged in a roll-on vial. A favorite of many celebs, including Lauren Conrad, Pamela Anderson and Reese Witherspoon, the small vial is perfect option for the girl on the go, who doesn’t want to haul around a large, breakable bottle of fragrance.

If you get hooked on first whiff like we did, you will be happy to know that the Kai product line is extensive, including a moisturizing body lotion, hydrating and cleansing body wash, lustrous body glow mist, euphoric linen spray, slow burning fragrance candles, and many more items which will make you feel beautiful, inside and out!

RadarOnline.com sat down with Kai creator, California girl Gaye Straza to get the lowdown on her popular line!

RadarOnline.com: What kind of ingredients do you use in your products?

Gaye: We use the best of everything!  We source everything in the United States, from the ingredients to the packaging, only using the highest quality essential oils, vitamins E and C, shea butter, and extract from flowers and fruit.  We are cruelty free.

RadarOnline.com: How did Kai evolve?

Gaye: I never though I would end up in this business because I am super sensitive to smell.  For years I could not wear fragrance.  I would smell something that I liked, and then put it on myself, and it would smell completely different.  I worked with a small boutique fragrance house to come up with a very small batch of this scent that I had in my head, which I was only going to sell in my Malibu boutique. The first night I put it on, I got stopped on Madison Ave. in New York by a beauty editor, who went bananas when I told her that I made it myself!  A few months later I started Kai, and it quickly developed a cult following!

RadarOnline.com: How is Kai different from other fragrances?

Gaye: Most fragrances are overpowering.  When you walk into an elevator, someone’s perfume can knock you out and give you a headache!  I formulated Kai to be light, clean and fresh.  So when you wear it, people know what it is, but are not overwhelmed by it.  Also, Kai doesn’t smell identical on every person. Our candles are even more subtle than our other products, because when you sit down at the dinner table, you want to smell your food, with an ambient scent in the background.

RadarOnline.com: What Kai products are next in line?

Gaye: The cube, which I think we are going to call “Kai Cubed” is gonna hit stores in February, and it is our largest perfume bottle yet, beautifully shaped into a work of art!  This week we launched a fine linen wash, which add a hint of fragrance to your laundry!  I would like to develop a Shampoo and Conditioner by summertime, because people have been asking me to for quite some time.  And sooner, rather than later, I would like to develop another scent!
