Eddie Cibrian told talk show host Rachael Ray on Monday that he is doing everything he can to protect his children from the media firestorm that has broken out since he left wife Brandi Glanville as rumors sparked he was seeing (then-married) singer LeAnn Rimes.
"I want them to just be kids and enjoy life," Cibrian said of his children, Mason, 6, and Jake, 2. "I try to shield them as much as possible. My philosophy is to try to insulate them so they're not subject to anything regarding the business and anything of tabloid nature."

"Sometimes, you want to fight back," the 36-year-old TV beefcake said. "I don't think it's very conducive to play anything private out publicly at all. I mean, I think it's very hurtful. The unfortunate part about it is that you get only one side of a very complicated story. But you know, I'm fine with that."
