With time running out for Dr. Conrad Murray to report to family court in Las Vegas or face possible arrest, his new lawyer is speaking out to RadarOnline.com.
Attorney Chris Aaron told RadarOnline.com that Dr. Murray contacted him earlier this week to represent him for in a dispute with the mother of his child. She says Murray is behind on child support payments.
"I am currently in talks with the Clark County District Attorney's office to resolve this matter," Aaron said. "We are trying to work out a payment plan for the $13,311 he owes Menita Malibiran for their 10-year-old year son."
Murray only has four more days to report to Las Vegas family court or a judge will issue a bench warrant for his arrest for missing a child support hearing on October 7.
Aaron added: "Dr. Murray did not intentionally miss his court date."
Aaron had represented Murray on previous family court matters in Nevada.
Meanwhile, Murray is still under investigation in connection with the death of pop superstar Michael Jackson, who died of cardiac arrest June 25 in Los Angeles.
Murray was Jackson's personal physician and has admitted administering the powerful anesthetic Propofol to him to help him sleep.
Murray has not been charged with any wrongdoing in connection with Jackson's death.
