Heene shot to notoriety on October 15th, when he and his wife Mayumi called 911 claiming their six-year-old son Falcon had taken flight in a home-made UFO style hot air balloon. People were transfixed to the television watching the balloon's flight and rescue services were mobilized, resulting in a rescue operation totaling six figures.
