We’re used to seeing celebs wear red or pink ribbons at awards shows -- but the white ribbon is the new color of choice.

So in case you’re wondering what the white ribbon represents, it’s a white knot symbolizing support of same-sex marriage.

All of the high-profile nominees were sent ribbons by the WhiteKnot.org campaign in the hopes that they will wear them at Sunday’s Emmy Awards ceremony.
