Add a new chapter to the Susan Boyle storybook: The 48-year-old Scottish spinster-turned-singing superstar delivered a magnificent performance on Wednesday's episode of America's Got Talent.

Boyle, clad in an elegant black gown and accompanied by a full orchestra and choir, belted out a rich cover of the Rolling Stones' ballad, Wild Horses.

Boyle -- whose rendition of I Dreamed A Dream on Britain's Got Talent gained her more than 90 million YouTube views fame in seemingly record-time -- was also featured in a montage of clips where she discussed the "emotional journey" through her rocky rise to notoriety, including her hospitalization leading up to the finale of Britain's Got Talent.

Boyle admits to finding all of the pressure "a bit suffocating." Though she doesn't remember much after the finale besides being put in an ambulance and checking into the Priory clinic in England. "I look back at it now and it was a necessity, I was just tired. I don't know what was wrong with me though."
Later on she added: "I used to be a kind of spectator looking outward at the world. But now I'm part of that world and, though frightening, I'm going to embrace it."
