VIDEO: Whitney Houston "Gave It Up" In New Interview
Sept. 10 2009, Published 11:15 a.m. ET
Whitney Houston held nothing back in an upcoming interview with Oprah Winfrey, the talk show host Thursday told Good Morning America's Diane Sawyer.
"She gave it up," Oprah said regarding marital woes, drug problems, motherhood and other hot button issues associated with the singer.
No question went unanswered thoughtfully, Winfrey said.
Winfrey said that Houston was less tight-lipped on the upcoming special than she was in a 2002 interview with Sawyer, in which "she was not ready to talk," "still in denial," and "wasn't forthcoming."
