After a week of anticipation, Janet Jackson took to the stage of the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards to pay tribute to her late brother Michael Jackson.
"There is no question that Michael Jackson is one of the greatest talents the world has ever known," said Madonna, who introduced a massive performance montage of Jackson's greatest hits.
Dancers performed classic moves from the "Thriller," "Smooth Criminal," and "Bad" clips.
