Chris Brown gets stuck in to some hard labor Wednesday as he serves day one of his 56 weeks community service sentence for his February beating of his then girlfriend Rihanna.

But it's not all hard work for Chris - he finds time to smile and wave for his fans, even joking around as he puts his head between some iron bars before tossing them on the trash heap.

Chris whacks away at weeds and clears up the brush, all the while being monitored by armed police guards.

Chris seems pretty proud of his work outfit though, even going so far as to tweet a picture of him in his garb.
