Country crooners Kenny Chesney and Taylor Swift were amongst the notable names up for major Country Music Association Awards this fall, which were announced in New York Wednesday.

Chesney is nominated for entertainer of the year (which he has won four times), musical event and male vocalist; the sexy Swift is also nominated for entertainer of the year, as well as best female vocalist.

And if you give a hoot, Darius Rucker (formerly of 90s faves Hootie and the Blowfish) garnered a pair of nominations for best new artist and male vocalist of the year.
