Celebrities at the NAACP Theater Awards in Los Angeles Monday night rallied to support embattled R&B singer Chris Brown.

"Chris Brown did not reinvent the wheel. This has been happening for ever and ever."  Everybody Hates Chris star Tasia Sherel told reporter Rachel Smith . "He's manned up. He's done his time."

The refreshingly vocal Sherel also said: "As long as he's paid his amends with Rihanna, who the hell are we to judge and that's what we're doing, and I'm sick of it."

Lost's Harold Perrineau found the perfect words of advice:  "I wish he and Rihanna the best and I hope they work through it and I hope they learn some stuff and move forward."

Actress Elise Neal told us: "You know what even though it took him forever. I really feel it's still something relevant, because it sends a certain message to young guys and young women that he is speaking out."
