We know Katherine Heigl and her musician husband Josh Kelley adopted a baby this week -- as RadarOnline.com was first to tell you exclusively. The 30-year-old Grey’s Anatomy star, who is becoming a mom to a 10-month-old Korean baby girl she named Naleigh, sat down for a taped interview that will air on Friday's edition of The Ellen DeGeneres Show. Watch the clip above for a sneak peak!
“She is a special needs baby and because of that it all moved so much faster," she said of the relatively-fast (at least six months) process. "They wanted to get her to us as quickly as possible.”
Heigl, whose sister Meg was adopted from Korea, discussed some major coincidences she shares with her 10-month-old.
“She was actually born the day before me in November which I thought was really serendipitous and just kind of like a sign," she told Ellen of her little girl. "I realized just recently that I basically forfeited my birthday for the rest of my life.”

Heigl and husband Kelley married on December 27, 2007 in Park City, Utah. She told Ellen he has been nothing but supportive.
“I just wanted to make sure that I was marrying a guy who understood that that was going to have to happen,” she said. “So about a year ago is when we said, ‘OK, let’s start the process,’ and the process is intense. It’s different but it isn’t, do you know what I mean? It’s just as intense I’m sure to have a baby biologically because you’re going through the whole physical sort of thing of it.”
Heigl, who recently hosted co-star Ellen Pompeo's bridal shower, is on leave of absence from the hit show; she starts filming next week the big-screen feature Life As We Know It.
