Just like the original Fame did back in 1980, the remake features several newcomers like So You Think You Can Dance knockout Kherington Payne who exclusively told RadarOnline.com reporter Amanda Daniels that she can’t believe how much her life has changed since first auditioning for Season 4. “I never expected it, I don’t know where I thought I was going to be but it wasn’t here,” Payne said.

Kelsey Grammar and Megan Mullally also appear in the film as well as acclaimed choreographer Debbie Allen, who appears in both the original and remake of Fame. “Dance is the universal language and Fame is one of the greatest speakers of the language,” Allen said.
Fame hits theaters nationwide Friday.
