EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW: David Arquette Says He's Too Old for Cougar Town

His wife Courteney Cox, may be steaming up television screens with her new show Cougar Town but don’t expect David Arquette to make any guest appearances. He opens up to RadarOnline.com about why he missed the cut.

“They’re telling me I’m a little to old to be cougar bait now,” he joked. “It’s sad, but so true.”

How David and Courtney met

Cougar Town, which premieres Wednesday on ABC, centers on dating after divorce. In real life, Cox and Arquette are avid believers in couples’ therapy as a way to keep the spark alive.

“Life to me is all about understanding what we’re doing here and making adjustments to your life that make the best of that,” he said. “It’s not always easy when one person’s stuck on one subject or thought or hurt. You have to learn how to make it work.”

The crazy thing he did for charity

On September 29, the couple will be teaming up with a long list of A-listers for the Rock a Little, Feed a Lot concert at Club Nokia in L.A., benefiting Feeding America. It’s one of the their favorite charities. Arquette, who was in a band called Ear 2000, says he’s not sure yet whether he’ll be participating in the concert.

“I’ve been practicing my trumpet but I’m pretty atrocious!” he said before laughing, “Can we not bring up me being in a band?”
