The Hangover's Bradley Cooper seems to have gone from supporting roles to leading man status overnight after his summer blockbuster; now look for this hunky actor to add action star to his repertoire.

While avoiding any mention of his new romance with Renee Zellweger on The Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien Wednesday night, Bradley chatted up Conan about his new found success saying, "It feels great" and his upcoming turn as an  action hero for the film adaptation of The A-Team, the 80's television series that made Mr. T a household name.  Cooper takes on the role of 'Face' with Liam Neeson joining the team as 'Hannibal.'  The Mr. T role has yet to be announced although Conan suggested Mr. T take on the role again.

The All About Steve star also revealed his turn as action hero has had some setbacks.  First he lost out the role as the Green Lantern to Ryan Reynolds because of his bad Christian Bale/Batman impersonation during his audition. "It was the worst Batman ever.  I apologize.   At  one point (during the audition), I said 'I'm Batman'.   I'm sorry did I just say I'm Batman during a Green Lantern tryout. Can I take that back?"  Suffice it to say, he didn't get the role.

However, as the action star in the big screen version of A-Team, Cooper is trying to get over an annoying habit of making special effects sounds during his gun training for the film which he says is irritating his weapons trainer.  "I'm sitting there with a 45" he says and then demonstrated to Conan his special effects sounds for cocking a gun and shooting it.   "They're like 'what are you doing?'  I cannot make the noises."

Well, if the action star status doesn't work out for Cooper, there's always voice-over work for the multi-talented actor who stars with Sandra Bullock in All About Steve opening September 4.
