Concert production powerhouse Live Nation said they will eliminate service fees Wednesday for 1,500 shows spread over more than 80 North American theaters and clubs, including popular locations such as House of Blues and Fillmore venues.
Live Nation, which sold more than 50 million concert tickets last year, is trying to build the music industry’s first artist-to-fan concert platform. The company said they have saved concert goers nearly $10 million this summer.
Said Michael Rapino, Live Nation CEO: “This Wednesday ... tickets will be available with no service fee, making it easier for even more fans to discover and connect with the amazing artists playing in these smaller venues today, some of whom will be headlining amphitheaters and arenas tomorrow.”
Don't be late for the savings: sales for the eligible will kick off at 12:01 a.m. Wednesday and run for 24 hours.
