Sherri Shepherd On Emmy Win: "My Voice Is Shot, I Screamed So Much"

Good thing The View is in summer reruns. Sherri Shepherd wrote on her Twitter late Sunday that she all but lost her voice screaming after the show's surprise win for “best host” at the 36th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards Sunday night.
"My voice is shot, I screamed so much," Shepherd wrote on her Twitter. "Completely drained. Just spoke w/ Whoopi. She didn't know we'd won & Joy was out to dinner."
The View's win came as a surprise, as the Shepherd and her co-hosts (Barbara Walters, Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar, Elisabeth Hasselbeck) were considered underdogs to Ellen DeGeneres, who had won the award the past four years.
