The CW network, as a possible distraction from Barton's recent drama, has released publicity pics from the series showing their heroine looking at her very best. The pics, in which Barton appears elevated back to her O.C.-level of hotness, stand in stark contrast to ones snapped a month ago of her looking bloated, puffy and sickly poolside in Los Angeles.

Mischa Barton -- Smokin' & Wet On Set Of The Beautiful Life
The actress was checked into Los Angeles' Cedars Sinai Medical Center under an involuntarily psychiatric hold July 15 for medical issues; she has a history of substance abuse, having a drunk driving arrest and rehab stint under her belt in the past two years.
The Beautiful Life is slated to premiere September 16 at 9/8c on the CW.
