EXCLUSIVE: Cameron Douglas Out On Bail After Drug Arrest

Michael Douglas' son Cameron, arrested July 28th on drug charges, made bail at New York City's Metropolitan Correction Center, officials Tuesday told RadarOnline.com.
A NYC enforcement source tells us that the DEA arranged a bust on the Basic Instinct star’s troubled son, attempting to move a large amount of crystal meth.
"Cameron was living at a hotel, renting his room by the month and also had a similar setup in Miami and LA," the source said. "A DEA informant visited Cam in NYC to set up a buy -- he wanted a large amount of crystal meth, about 20g worth street value--the informant told DEA Cameron was strung out and his hotel at the Gansevort and was a mess."
Although the informant insisted Douglas wasn't in his right mind, he said that Cameron promised "he could deliver the score."
And according to our source, that's just what he set about to do.
"Douglas called a drug contact and said he was going to ship out the crystal meth. It's unclear if the drugs were being couriered by car or other means but the DEA was able to track the shipment out of Los Angeles."

The source said its unknown if the shipment ever made it into Douglas' hands, "but he was busted."
The U.S. Attorney’s office had “no comment” about the case.
