Rihanna will not be in court Wednesday when former boyfriend Chris Brown is formally sentenced for his attack on her, RadarOnline.com has learned exclusively.
The move comes on the heels of Brown’s public apology for his attack on Rihanna.
In addition, Rihanna will be requesting a less restrictive protective order against Brown than the one she currently has in place.
"I'm going to be requesting a level one protective order not to annoy, molest, or harass my client. This would be a step down from current order in which Brown must stay 50 yards away from my client," the singer's attorney Donald Etra told RadarOnline.com.
In terms of court on Wednesday, he added: "Rihanna won't be there."
Brown is expected to be formally sentenced to five years probation, 180 days of labor oriented service, and one year of domestic violence counseling classes.
