EXCLUSIVE: DJ AM Told Friends He Suffered "Survivor's Guilt"

In a crushing email sent to a friend just a month after his September 2008 plane crash, Adam Goldstein revealed that he was suffering from depression.
The email, obtained by RadarOnline.com, is dated October 19, 2008.
"Man this is almost too much for me to handle right now," Goldstein, known as DJ AM, wrote.
"I had no idea how the survivors guilt could have felt. I'm a mess though man. I just hope time will fix this depressed feeling asap," he continued.

Survivor Guilt is a mental condition when a trauma victim feels guilt for having lived when others did not, and manifests in symptoms like anxiety, depression.
