The criminal investigation against Dr. Conrad Murray -- he faces possible manslaughter charges in the death of Michael Jackson -- has not yet been handed over to the Los Angeles County DA's office because of "bungled" early police work, RadarOnline.com has learned exclusively.
"The crime scene" -- Michael's rented Los Angeles mansion -- "was not secured by the police and was compromised by Jackson's family," a source close to the investigation said.
"The police didn't execute search warrants on the house until several days after Michael died.
"The case is several weeks away from being presented to DA's office," the source added; while the LAPD tries to wrap up the many lose ends of their investigation.
In other developments on the criminal investigation into Jackson's death, the L.A. County Coroner's office on Wednesday retrieved more records from the Dr. Arnie Klein, Michael's dermatologist.
