Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen Reaches Lofty Box Office Milestone

Paramount's Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, spurred on by the star power of upstart A-listers Shia LaBeouf and Megan Fox, became the first film in 2009 to gross more than $300 million domestically at the box office Tuesday; the Michael Bay film's worldwide intake is more than $600 million.
LaBeouf said his role in the film is one that demanded a high level of painstaking intensity.

"There's nothing casual about this movie -- nothing," the handsome actor, whose films have grossed more than $2 billion worldwide, told CBS. "You've got to be an athlete, I think, and have pain tolerance. It's a monotonous, aggressive set. That was the goal of the film. Mike Bay likes to punch the audience in the face, and the actors get the brunt of that."
