Mother Of Jude Law's Baby Mama Speaks Out: "She Was Terrified To Tell Him"

The model who was impregnated by Jude Law was terrified to tell the superstar, her mother has revealed.

Samantha Burke, 24, has confirmed that she is the baby-mama to the Cold Mountain and Alfie star following a brief fling.

Samantha's mom Lea Burke, a massage therapist from Pensacola, Florida told The London Evening Standard Newspaper: "This was no way planned. Hell no. She was in shock when she found out she was pregnant and terrified to tell him."

Lea added: "It was tough for her - she was going back to school so she had to change plans. She's decided to come back home - it is too expensive to stay in New York and she can be with her family."

Lea  - who lives in a small home in a non-descript suburb of Pensacola - does not expect the star to be around to raise his daughter who is due in October.

Her daughter met the star while he was filming his latest blockbuster Sherlock Holmes in New York last Christmas.

She added: "I am already a grandmother, but am of course looking forward to being one again. Every mother would prefer if her daughter had a child with a man she was married to - it would be nice if the father was around but that's not going to happen because of his job and she knows that, she's realistic about that."

Lea added: "I don't know him but my daughter said he was very 'nice' - she likes him as a person and they spent time together when she was living in New York. She treats him like a normal guy and he liked hanging out with her."

The Burke family have hired a lawyer and are seeking a 'substantial amount' to help raise the child - but Lee Burke would not comment on how much.

Multi-millionaire Law - who has three children with his former wife Sadie Frost - could be facing up to $50,000 per month in child support payments.

His spokesman has already confirmed that he is the father and that he will be involved with raising the child.
