Singer/songwriter Mat Kearney plays an acoustic version of his hit, “Closer to Love” just for us. On the heels of his appearance on “The Tonight Show’ Matt sat down with us to talk about his new CD, “ City of Black & White” and the dizzying climb from new artist to a radio staple.

Reminiscent of Coldplay, U2 and also Bob Dylan – of whom he’s a big fan – he has a talent for smart, melodic tunes that draw the listener in and spins universal stories that may explain why his songs have been on TV shows from “Grey’s Anatomy” to “Dirty, Sexy Money.”
