Harry Potter's wizardry is working on the box office.
The upcoming installment in the popular franchise, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, is dominating advance sales at the box office, with numbers outpacing its 2007 release, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, as well as current box office leader Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen.

The early commercial success comes as little surprise, as the first five films in the series have tuned out to be box office gold, totaling more than $4.5 billion -- or, an average of $897 million per film. And there's still more where that came from: Warner Bros. has two more Potter films in the works.
