P.T. Barnum had nothing on these guys.
Vince McMahon and Donald Trump, fresh off respective controversies involving Denver Nuggets owner Stan Kroenke and former Miss USA Carrie Prejean, began a wrestling-worthy storyline in which Trump purchased Monday Night Raw, the WWE's flagship show, from the pro wrestling magnate.
"It's true, I Donald Trump, am now the sole owner on Monday Night Raw," Trump said, speaking via satellite. "I'm gonna do stuff that's never been done before, never been seen before."
The Donald, a longtime McMahon associate (his venues have hosted two Wrestlemania shows, and he was involved in a storyline rivalry with McMahon two years ago) then made his first brash decision to the delight of the audience.
"My first act as owner is to do something unprecedented, unheard of, something you were too selfish and cheap to make happen, Vince," Trump said, then proclaiming next week's episode of Raw would be commercial-free.
