Motown Records' Smokey Robinson, along with Hip-hop artist Wyclef Jean, were just a few of the stars commenting on the sudden death of pop icon Michael Jackson at ASCAP'S 22ND Annual Rhythm & Soul Music Awards, held Friday evening.
"I feel we lost not only a pop icon but the music industry lost a father," said producer Jean.
The star-studded event which was attended by over 650 leading songwriters, recording artists and musical industry notables like Alicia Keys and Ne-Yo, was held in Beverly Hills, Ca.
Motown founder and friend of Jackson, Berry Gordy, told Radaronline.com that he was "still numb" and that it was a very sad day for him.
