From hip-hop divas in barely-there get-ups to movie stars in full-length gowns, bold statements were front and center on the red carpet of Sunday night's BET Awards in Los Angeles.

Alicia Keys stood out in the loud blinged out crowd in a Moroccan-inspired bead-, sequin-, and fringe- embellished number that was sexy, sassy and sophisticated.

Beyonce brought the 80s vibe to the red carpet in her designer of choice, Balmain; the diva wore a vibrant, long-sleeve, colored print mini-dress with  sequin embellishments, teaming the bright frock with popping purple peep-toe pumps and malachite hoop earrings. Simply put, the Single Ladies diva's clothes sizzled (We won't start in on her hair, through!).

Pussycat Doll Melody Thornton spent all nine of her fashion lives Sunday, wearing a teeny-weeny fringe dress that showed off more of her body-stocking than it did her body or her style.

Cassie did her best Rihanna impression in an ensemble topped off with jeweled baubles, and a timely accent in the King of Pop's single glove look. Clearly, the Disturbia singer's irreverent, trend-bucking style has gained its share of followers, and we suspect Cassie is first in line.

Going for glam, RadarOnline.com fashion fave Taraji P. Henson showed off her sizzlin' body and tattoo in a backless, curve-clinging, Kaufman Franco black gown (She stays a fave for that one).

Model mogul Tyra Banks brought sexy back in a man-chic-tastic getup, but feminized with YSL Trib pumps.
