Goodbye Norma Jean, hello exclusive new photos.
In honor of what would have been Marilyn Monroe's 83rd birthday Monday, Life Magazine has revealed a newly discovered set of photos of the blonde bombshell spending a day at Griffith Park in Los Angeles. Monroe was 24 and an aspiring model/actress at the time.
Good Morning America showed the photos on Tuesday's program.
Note the awkward end to the story when co-host Robin Roberts sings "Happy Birthday" in a raspy imitation of Monroe's famous birthday serenade to JFK.
In 1962, Marilyn Monroe died in her sleep at the age of 36. At the time, she was the most famous actress in the world. The circumstances of her death remain shrouded in rumors and speculation to this date.
