Kate Gosselin has picked one of Pennsylvania’s finest lawyers for her pending bitter divorce battle with her husband Jon Gosselin, RadarOnline.com can reveal.

The fiery reailty star is being represented by Cheryl L. Young, a married mother of two who sources claim is the ideal woman for the job.

“Cheryl’s style is both diplomatic and reasonable and she is a lawyer who is not interested in publicity,” said local family lawyer Caren Morrissey.

And several other local lawyers described Young as both "capable" and "very professional" both in and out of the courtroom.
On her website Young states: “I think the most valuable service we provide is unemotional objectivity, at a time when people most need it.”
Although Young may never have dealt with such a high profile media divorce case during her career she boasts a stellar resume. She is a major shareholder in the respected Norristown office of Hangley, Aronchick Segal and Pudlin, and is currently serving a three-year term on the Pennsylvania Bar Association Board Of Governors representing female lawyers in her area.

She is also a former past president of the Montgomery Bar Association and chair of its Family Law Committee. Young was also voted as a prestigious Pennsylvania Super Lawyer in family law from 2004 to 2008.
Kate Gosselin took the first step in ending the couple’s marriage by filing for divorce on Monday at Montgomery County.
