The husband of Little House on the Prairie star Sidney Greenbush has committed suicide, according to Star magazine.
Spouse of nine years William “Rocky” Foster, a horse breeder, ended his own life behind he and Greenbush's Visalia, Ca. home on May 5.
“Rocky was a real cowboy of some renown, and they were a very down-to-earth couple,” a neighbor told Star. “But some problems had developed between them recently — and it’s heartbreaking to think it came to the conclusion that it did.”
Sources say Greenbush told Foster just two days prior to his death that she wanted a divorce. Foster shot himself in the head, just prior calling Greenbush and informing her of his plan to die.
The child star phoned local police to no avail. He was taken to a nearby hospital where he died from the fatal shot.
"Even with all their problems, I know she cared so deeply for her husband. But she’s a strong woman, and I hope she’ll be able to pick up the pieces and move on from this tragedy," a neighbor told the mag.
