Lindsay Lohan is being investigated for missing jewelry - estimated at up to $500,000 - taken from a magazine fashion shoot the actress did during her trip to London earlier this month, but the actress/model is "happy to cooperate" with the Scotland Yard inquiry her rep Leslie Sloane-Zelnik told exclusively.

"We haven't been contacted yet by anyone, Sloane-Zelnik added.  "Lindsay hopes they find the missing items."

Lohan has a somewhat checkered history with missing/stolen luxury goods. Louis Vuitton reportedly will no longer lend to her because of difficulty in getting items returned. Two years ago, Lindsay filed a report to the very same Scotland Yard claiming that a handbag containing $1 million in jewels had gone missing as she was preparing to fly out of Heathrow.  The bag turned up hours later - exactly where Lindsay had accidentally left it.

The current MIA jewels had been borrowed for a UK Elle magazine shoot.

“She shot her cover story and left,” her rep said. (Photo: Splash News)
