Denzel Washington On John Travolta: "He's Struggling"

Denzel Washington says his friend and co-star John Travolta is still trying to come to terms with the sudden death of his 16-year-old son Jett, who died in the Bahamas last January of a seizure.
Washington --appearing Thursday night on Late Night with David Letterman --said: "It's tough.. We talk.. I listen... He's struggling."
Washington was on Letterman to promote his new movie, a remake of the 1974 subway hijack thriller The Taking of Pelham 1 2 3. Travolta co-stars as a ruthless kidnapper.

In a post on his website travolta.com, Travolta thanks Denzel and others for stepping up to promote the film, and added: "their unselfish efforts have allowed my family the additional time to reconcile our loss."
The Taking of Pelham 1 2 3 opens Friday, June 12.
