Billy Ray Cyrus: End Is Near For Hannah Montana

The fourth season of Disney Channel's Hannah Montana, the tween-oriented show which made star Miley Cyrus a household name, will be its last, according to her father, Billy Ray Cyrus.
The one-hit-wonder-turned-stage parent extraordinaire says that it was his daughter's decision to keep the successful TV vehicle running for a fourth year, to bring closure for the show's fans.
"I give a lot of credit to Miley for taking it to another year. She didn’t want it to just end with whatever was the last episode we did. She wanted it to build to where there’s a moral to the story, to where it doesn’t just end and go away and that’s it. She wanted there to be an official ending to Hannah Montana". Shooting for the show's final season will commence in January, according to Billy Ray Cyrus. (Photo: Disney / Renta)
