UPDATE: Suspected Killer Of Akon Protege Held On $1 Million Bail

Aubrey Berry, the suspected shooter of rapper/Akon protege Dolla, was in custody on $1 million bail, authorities told RadarOnline.com Tuesday.
Berry, 23, is accused of fatally shooting the 21-year-old Atlanta rapper, whose real name was Roderick Anthony Burton, in the head as he entered the Beverly Center shopping complex just after 3 p.m. Monday.
Akon Artist Dolla Shot and Killed
Burton was on the premises with fellow artist D.J. Shabazz at the time of the shooting, waiting at an entrance to the mall, officials said.

Police detained Berry two hours later, waiting in the lobby area of the first terminal while attempting to board a plane at Los Angeles International Airport. LAX authorities said they approached the suspect, who then revealed a 9 millimeter handgun in his waistband.
