In a city glittering with tinsel, one star will undoubtedly shine the others Wednesday night: President Barack Obama.
The Commander-in-Chief will headline a $30,400-a-couple-dinner to be held at the Beverly Hilton, which will also feature performances from Oscar/Grammy-winning star Jennifer Hudson and R&B icons Earth, Wind And Fire. Hollywood powerhouses including Steven Spielberg, Jeffrey Katzenberg and David Geffen will also attend the dinner, which aims to raise funds for the Democratic party.

If the $15,200-a-plate entree is a little steep, there's also a reception ($1,000 to attend) with VIP seating ($2,500) for those looking to save a few bucks.
"It's a very rough economy," the event's organizer, Andy Spahn, said. "But despite that there is tremendous excitement and enthusiasm for the president." (Photo: AP Images)
