Shanna Moakler, who stepped down in her capacity as Miss California USA official Wednesday, said she feels Miss California USA Carrie Prejean has "gotten rewarded for lying."

Prejean, earlier this week, was allowed to keep her crown by pageant head Donald Trump in spite of past infractions that violated the pact she agreed to in representing the pageant in the first place.

Moakler told Ryan Seacrest on his radio show Thursday that watching Prejean lie about her past on The Today Show -- the 21-year-old said a wind gust caused her wardrobe to malfunction on a previous photo shoot -- was the final straw.

Said Moakler, a former Miss USA herself: "It looks foolish, how am I supposed to aggressively promote someone that I don't know is being truthful with me."

She said a meeting with Prejean and her family "got heated." She said she hoped, at some point, Prejean would step up and take responsibility.

She said that Donald Trump is a brilliant businessman, but is looking at the issue in a different light than she is. (Photo: WENN)
