Mary Kay Letourneau is still provoking strong emotions from Americans, years after her initial scandal when she was sentenced to prison for having a sexual relationship with an underage male.

Our readers were evenly split in their reaction - and tellingly the situation evoked strong reactions. One person wrote to us: "Let them be happy, they have made it through so much, looks like they belong together."
But another reader told RadarOnline.com: "You can bet your bottom dollar if a MALE teacher had sexual relations with a female student, there would be public outrage. She needs help, and her child 'bride' needs to get out of the sham of a marriage and do better."

Some readers questioned Mary Kay's state of mind and said they felt sorry for her children from her first marriage. Another person took a more sympathetic view, writing: "The couple have been married for 4 years and have 2 kids. Obviously, Mary Kay and Vili have made a life together. Neither seems to have suffered in the long term. "
One woman, who could barely contain her outrage, wrote about the nightclub event that featured $20 T-shirts with Mary Kay and Vili's photo: "Must she and he flaunt it? Shame on everyone who supported this event."
