As RadarOnline.com reported yesterday , Michael Phelps got to shake off his dry-land troubles and hit the pool on Friday, his first competitive swim race since winning 8 gold medals in Beijing.
If Phelps has the munchies, you certainly can't tell by his pristine build, one that no doubt propelled him to win first place in both the 200-meter freestyle and 100-meter butterfly races.
"Mentally, he's the best ever," Phelps' coach Bob Bowman told reporters.
"It didn't matter how I felt, I was just excited to race," Phelps told press, back in the pool after a suspension related to scandalous photos showing the Olympian smoking from a bong.
"That's the most important thing. I still have that drive and that passion to race."
