Lambert's Friend: Thank Obama If Adam Wins Idol

If Adam Lambert wins "American Idol" Wednesday night, you can thank President Barack Obama, at least that's what the singer's good friend Chris Isaacson believes. "In the era of Obama, we're wanting something fresh, something new, something to enlighten us. And that¹s exactly what Adam is doing," Chris tells RadarOnline.com.
Isaacson and business partner Shane Scheel are the promoters of L.A.'s Upright Cabaret, where Adam was a regular performer before auditioning for Idol. "This year is about change," adds Shane. "This is the seventh season of Idol and to have a guy like Adam leading the way is really hopeful of a whole new start for the country and the show. Adam is the most relevant Idol that has ever existed in the biggest show that has ever happened to the world."

Chris and Shane will be among the millions of AI fans who will be voting Tuesday night following the performances of Lambert and fellow finalist Kris Allen. "We always vote," says Shane. "We always send out to our email lists and all of our friends on our MySpace and Facebook pages, and vote for Adam, vote for Adam'."
"Everyone wants to sleep with Kris Allen," laughs Isaacson. "He plays the piano. But Adam Lambert is a star. It¹s undeniable."
