Kiefer Sutherland has more than the fashion police to answer to after allegedly headbutting designer Jack McCollough on Monday--New York law enforcement is issuing a minor assault charge against to actor.
The New York Daily News reports the 24 star will turn himself into prosecutors in a few weeks to face the misdemeanor charge, which carries no jail time and allows him to travel beforehand.
Sutherland is said to have attacked McCollough at an after-party for the annual Met Gala, after an altercation supposedly involving actress Brooke Shields,

The Los Angeles City Attorney's office tells RadarOnline.com they will investigate the incident with the NYPD and then decide if it will affect Sutherland's existing probation (stemming from a DUI incident in 2007).
A rep for McCollough, one half of the design team Proenza Schouler, called the attack "vicious."
