Kiefer Sutherland broke his silence on the head-butt heard around the world on Monday afternoon. During the FOX upfront presentations in New York City, the 24 actor made a joke out of his alleged assault on fashion designer Jack McCullough.
Sutherland took to the stage during the network’s annual presentation to share some sincere words about his time as Jack Bauer.
“I’m going to try to explain to you what 24 has meant to me,” Sutherland said. “It’s the greatest experience I’ve had so far in my career. That you have allowed us to grow you have allowed us to change ..you have supported us..we have been doing the show for eight years. We’ve had 15 children on our show .. you’ve helped me become part of a family.”

But he followed up that heartfelt speech with a quip about the reported violent outburst. “I hear this after party is going to be a good one,” he told the crowd. “I’ll be looking for you at the bar.”
While the joke cracked up the audience, we’re not so sure McCullough is ready to consider the whole thing a laughing matter quite yet.
