Kelis and Nas File For Divorce

A few months after the news broke that they were expecting their first child together, rapper Nas and singer Kelis are ending their marriage. In papers filed at Los Angeles’ Superior Court on April 30, the couple cited “irreconcilable differences” as the cause of the split. View divorce court documents.
The two wed nearly six years ago in Atlanta in front of family and friends after dating for two years.

In the papers, Kelis requested that Nas’s right to spousal support be terminated and that their property rights are still to be determined. Their un-named, unborn child was also listed with a due date of July 21.
