Happy Anniversary, Pete & Ashlee!

Thanks to the Twittering ways of Papa Joe Simpson, the world was alerted today of the One
Year marriage anniversary of his daughter Ashlee Simpson to Fall Out Boy
rocker Pete Wentz.

The pair were married May 17 one year ago at the home of Simpson's parents
in Encino, CA. Among the 150 guests, sister Jessica and boyfriend Tony Romo
were present. Papa Joe officiated the ceremony, which counted Wentz's
bulldog Hemingway as ring-bearer.
Just 11 days after their nuptials, the couple announced their first child
was on the way. In November of 2008, Ashlee gave birth to a boy, Bronx
Mowgli.
Kicking off their second year as husband and wife, Wentz continues to
record music with FOB. Simpson will try her hand at being a working mom--she
was recently cast in The CW's anticipated update to Melrose Place.
