Former ER star Parminder Nagra and her photographer husband James Stenson welcomed their first child, a baby boy. Kai David Singh Stenson was born Tuesday in Los Angeles.
Radaronline.com can reveal that the 34-year-old British star has been busy in recent months building the nursery for her baby during a $1 million re-model of her home in the Hollywood Hills. In preparation, Nagra and hubby Stenson re-modeled the secluded three beds two baths bungalow, by building the nursery above their existing garage.
The nursery will have an adjoining bathroom, outdoor deck and a special window seat overlooking the surrounding canyon. In addition the couple are also installing a swimming pool and landscaping the gardens of the property that they bought in 2004 for just $1 million.
The actress – who played Dr Neela Rasgotra on NBC’s ER – actually hid her baby bump as it was not part of the story-line on the show’s finale.

Nagra, who found fame in Bend It Like Beckham (2002), married Stenson before a small gathering of friends and family at a private home in Hollywood in January, 2009.
The ceremony was a traditional Sikh one known as ‘Anand Karaj’ - which means ‘blissful union.’
