It's an easy correlation, the hot gossip on Capitol Hill and a hottie from the cast of Gossip Girl.

RadarOnline.com caught up with primetime hunk Chace Crawford at Tammy Haddad's pre-party for the White House Correspondents Dinner, a garden brunch attended by the likes of Todd Palin and Greta Van Susteren.

Crawford was fawned on by older ladies to take photos for their daughters and granddaughters (we bet a few will make it in their personal albums as well).

One expected side effect of a Crawford appearance--extreme heat.

"I love D.C,, we just go here, but it is really, really hot!" the actor admitted himself, shmoozing alongside additional guests Val Kilmer, Christian Slater with a new brunette (not ex Tamara Mellon), Keri Washington and Tim Daly.

Tons of celebs are hitting Washington this weekend for the annual press dinner, which benefits a scholarship program. Bold names who received White House tours today include Jason Bateman, Mike Meyers, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson and rumored Jennifer Aniston fling Bradley Cooper.
