Top Gun Star Kelly McGillis Comes Out

She may be best remembered for her star turns besides hunky men like Harrison Ford in Witness and Tom Cruise in Top Gun but Kelly McGillis recently announced that she is “done with men”, confirming a long-time rumor that she is a lesbian.
Currently single, she responded that her next mate would “definitely” be a woman. “I’m done with the man thing. I did that, I need to move on in life,” McGillis confirmed. “That’s another part of being true to yourself...that’s been a challenge for me personally.”
A role model in her own right, she opened up about her struggle to accept herself. “I think accepting being homosexual that was an ongoing process from the time I was about 12,” she revealed. “I had a lot of things happened that convinced me that God was punishing me for being gay. That was a hard process.”
