RadarOnline.com and other reporters staking out the New Jersey home of Megan McAllister – fiancé of Philip Markoff, the Craigslist Killer suspect – learned today that the ill-fated couple’s August 14th wedding has been called off!

A family source says that while Megan “continues to hold out hope” in support of Philip, the family has begun canceling plans for their nuptials, which were supposed to take place on the New Jersey Shore.

According to the source, a band booked to play their reception has been told their services are no longer needed.

The “B-Street” Band, a Bruce Springsteen tribute band, had been tapped by Megan to play the happy day. A band member confirmed to one news organization that they’ve now been released from the commitment.

Megan remains holed up in her Little Silver, NJ home. Statements in recent days said that she was standing by her man, despite his arrest and charges by police in Boston for the killing of one woman and the robbery of two others.

About 3 pm today, her distraught dad Jim McAllister briefly passed by reporters, telling RadarOnline.com that “we’re not talking about” his wedding cancellation.

Megan’s brother was also observed  arriving at the family home.

“It’s like a funeral atmosphere,” said the family source. “Flowers have steadily been arriving and Megan is being comforted. She’s very ripped up. Her brother came in from North Carolina to be by her side. The family and close friends are banding together."

"Megan has realized that her plans for a dream wedding to Philip are finally over.”
