In Twilight he thirsts for human flesh and blood – but in real life Robert Pattinson likes to sink his teeth into spaghetti with meatballs washed-down with a Global cocktail!

Pattinson and his co-star Kristen Stewart and several other cast members have been hitting the Glowball and Satay Bar in Vancouver as they film their latest vampire installment.

Manager Jan Wichmann told RadarOnline: “They have visited us about four times and Robert really loves our Global cocktail. It is a mixture of Martini, Vodka, Alize and fruit juices. He had several of them the last time he was here and he left in a very good mood.”

“Robert also enjoyed our special spaghetti dish which we make with Kobe beef meat-balls - he has ordered it each time he dined with us,” Wichmann continued. “All the cast members who visited us were very friendly but we are used to having actors pop in because there is a lot of film production in Vancouver now. Robert seemed like a very chilled-out guy and despite the fact he is well on his way to becoming a huge star he was very polite and well-behaved.”

New Moon is currently filming at a local High School on the city’s East 55th Avenue.

Vancouver is currently caught up in a horrifying wave of gang related shootings with 12 homicides and nearly 50 gun-related incidents so far in 2009.

Despite the outbreak of violence - which Vancouver Police Chief Jimmy Chu describes as “brutal” – it’s understood that producers of New Moon have not requested any extra security to protect their cast and crew. Police spokesperson Anne Longley told RadarOnline: “It is true with these gang shootings the perception is not good right now but we are working hard to get it under control.

“At present I do not know of any extra police presence that has been requested by the New Moon production,” Longley said. “It is routine for any production company filing a permit to shoot in the city to contact our Emergency Planning Section regarding policing requests. The particular area on East 55th Avenue is a very residential area - that’s why a school is located there and it’s not a gang area.”
